FREE VISA FOR INDIA & CHINA CITIZENS VISITING MALAYSIA

Effective from December 1, 2023, citizens of China and India will enjoy visa-free entry to Malaysia for up to 30 days and is scheduled to end this privilege until December 31, 2024. 

In this regard, Indian passport holders are required to ensure the fulfillment of the below criteria and provide supporting documents during the security and immigration screenings at the port of entry, as follows:

ANNOUNCEMENT ON VISA EXEMPTIONS FOR INDIAN PASSPORT HOLDERS

The Republic of India passport holders travelling to Malaysia from 1 December 2023 until 31 December 2024 are eligible for visa-free entry into Malaysia,which permits a stay of up to 30 days for each entry and visit to the country.

Immigration Dept Says Indian Travellers Were Detained As They Were Seen Loitering In KLIA

 Investigations found that the Indian travellers were seeking employment illegally as they did not have a place to stay and had limited pocket money.

It was alleged in a viral video that the travellers were being mistreated and disrespected because they were seen sitting on the floor for an "unnecessarily long time".

A woman in the video referred to the Indian nationals as tourists.

Immigration director-general Datuk Seri Khairul Dzaimee Daud has denied allegations, saying what was claimed in the video was false, reported Free Malaysia Today.
